Benesse House Museum & Island exploration — Naoshima

Hiroshi Sugimuto’s exhibition “Time Corridors” gave an insight into photographic dark room print production, with amazingly crafted black and white prints which intentionally appeared blurred and obscured to the viewer.

The remainder of my day involved bicycle riding around the island; with a personal goal of finding as many shrines as possible. Along my way found several small cemeteries which captured my heart and allowed me a minute to stop and show my respects to those who have occupied this island and called it their home. I’m infinitely grateful for what their home has shown me.
