Declan Monaghan is an emerging artist from Melbourne/Naarm who lives and works on Wurundjeri Country.

Drawing from a variety of sources, Declan enjoys creating contrasts in his work. His practice explores analogue and digital printmaking techniques, frequently combining photographic etching with hard/soft ground and collage using captured and found imagery. Declan’s artistic interests include place, modernity and the environment. In exploring these themes, he is also informed by his experiences as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Declan has experience as a studio technician in the university and private sectors. He separately provides exhibition installation and fine art print production services, typically in close collaboration with individual artists and galleries.
